Alrose Productions boost RCF line array stock with powerful HDL 30-A

RCF distributor, AV Matrix, has supplied Darlington-based events company, Alrose Productions, with a premium RCF HDL 30-A line array rig.

They have added a 32-box system—with built-in 2,200W Class D amplifier—to their inventory, along with 16 SUB 9006-AS active subs and full accessories, to boost their existing HDL 20-A hire fleet.

Since setting up the full event service providers more than 20 years ago, MD Andy McNair has steadily built up a cutting-edge inventory right across the AV spectrum. As a traditional hire client of AV Matrix, he had previously purchased the active (2 x 10”) HDL 20-A.

Tracing the background to the sale, Matrix AV MD, Mark Parker, said, “I suggested to Andy that they consider purchasing some new equipment to increase their capability. He briefly considered other brands, but taking into account value for money offered by HDL, and the fact that he was already an RCF user, he chose to upgrade to HDL 30-A.” This was after the distributor had been able to demonstrate the new system, from their own RCF stock.

Andy McNair agreed, admitting he had deliberated long and hard before making the decision. “But when AV Matrix demoed the system I could tell immediately it was a great sounding box.”

He said while the HDL 20-A had served them well for the past eight years or so “the HDL 30-A is a superior system, and will help us compete for larger jobs. I’m really happy with the decision.”

A further bonus he says are the excellent rigging facilities. “It’s easy to carry and quick to deploy,” he said. “And with RDNet onboard, it offers better and tighter control.”

The new rig made its debut at the Northern Kin Festival in Durham, followed by a succession of other summer events. It will now safely see Alrose Productions through the remainder of the festival season and beyond.
