RCF TT+ engaging sound for Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour

Milan, Italy - Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour brings symphonic music and video game enthusiasts together at Teatro degli Arcimboldi for two sold-out concerts back in December 2021. Since 2008, Conductor Arnie Roth has been on the podium for almost all the live concerts connected to the Japanese video-game conglomerate, Square Enix. Produced by AWR Music Productions, the company Airone Service (Bergamo) took care of the AVL setup with the exclusive use of RCF TT+ technologies for sound amplification, delivering great sound detail that had a significant impact on the audience inside the auditorium.

When the original Final Fantasy VII game and soundtrack were released in 1997, they quickly became the best-selling of the entire FF series, with 13.2 million copies sold worldwide. The new Final Fantasy VII Remake is among the best-selling video games of 2020 and continues its success, featuring arranged and updated remixes of songs heard in the original game, as well as several new tracks. The Milanese concert saw the participation of Maestro Masashi Hamauzu, who in addition to having arranged the choir and sang in the original version of 'One Winged Angel' from Final Fantasy VII in 1997, was the main composer of Final Fantasy XIII and wrote new original songs for Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The behavior of the RCF TT + system was, as we expected, exemplary!

"A notoriously reverberating structure like the Arcimboldi Theater, created mainly for acoustic and non-amplified music, always struggles to manage the earth-shaking soundtrack levels like those of a video game, where low frequencies play a decisive role for the engagement of the gamers, and in this case for the public. The behavior of the RCF TT + system was, as we expected, exemplary! We were all really happy with the performance, the system contributed to the power of the orchestra without any burrs and with an impressive focus on the scene, also assisted by the powerful TTS 36 A. With only 4 double 18 "subwoofers, the low-frequency coverage was powerful even in the back rows. This was well noticed watching the enthusiastic and at times euphoric response of the audience. " The orchestra and choir, made up of about 100 Italian musicians, were mic’ed with over 160 microphones including more than 40 DPA 4099 instrument microphones and DPA 4011 stylus microphones on piano and harp.
