Installation THEATERS, CONCERT HALLS AND AUDITORIUMS 30 Oct 2009

TTL31-A installed at Maintalhalle

A versatile system for a multi purpose venue.
The Maintalhalle is situated in the city of Mainaschaff, is a multi purpose venue with a fixed stage used for presentations, theatre shows and live music.
Tony Glaab, Technical Director of Maintahalle, contacted Stage Light Sound and asked them to provide with a high performance audio system that could handle all the different kinds of performances scheduled in the venue. Stage Light Sound specified RCF’s TT+ High Definition Touring and Theatre for the complete sound reinforcement system and worked in close contact with Georg Hofmann and Norbert Wessel of RCF Germany during the design and the set up phase of the project.
The complete system, provided for Maintalhalle comprised TTL31-A compact line array and TTS28-A high power subwoofers as the main P.A., TT08-A as front fill, TT25-A placed as side fill and TT25-SMA for stage monitoring purpose.
Georg Hofmann designed the system using EASE software to provide a powerful and uniform coverage of the venue that measures 40 m depth, 7 to 9 m high and 20 to 24 m wide. “Because the hall can be divided in the middle, we had to provide a system that could be controlled in two separate sections”, explains Hofmann, “ in fact, if the hall is divided, only the 4 lower TTL31-A are used”. Norbert Wessel, achieved the start up process by using EASE Focus design software.
Tony Glaab commented: “Before we got the RCF TT+ system, all guest performances in our multi-purpose hall had to use external equipment, now we are able to offer them a fully equipped hall with a really high performance system. When we heard the TT+ system fully set up, we were really impressed by the clarity and powerful sound reproduction, even in the rearmost places of the venue”.
Alexander Poeter, Senior Chief of Stage Light Sound, said: “The support from the German RCF crew was just amazing. From the system design to the final installation we had a fantastic assistance from them.”
